IDM - Intelligent Data Matching

IDM is Piteco’s complete suite designed and dedicated to analysismatching and automatic reconciliation of complex, non-uniform data, applicable to all business sectors and company areas that require the matching of large quantities of unstructured data.

This is the ideal tool for managing  Data Matching processes, which provides accurate, reliable information about collections received, effectively launching reconciliation and cash collection activities, also benefiting from effective reporting to support decision-making.

Semantic Data Analysis

IDM is located between 2 or more source IT systems.  Its role is to receive information, recognise it and render it uniform through sophisticated  semantic analysis performed on unstructured fields and  transformation and standardisation procedures, to then match it automatically and return it to the receiving systems.

Integration

The IDM suite features privileged integration and dialogue capabilities with Piteco Evo: this makes it possible to manage processes linked to Data Matching and collections in an efficient and integrated manner, and provide simultaneous, systematic responses to Treasury and Credit divisions. Due to an innovative approach and customised consulting, IDM can handle any project to automate administrative processes.

Usability

The work environment is optimised for assisted matching of transactions, ensuring efficient, user-friendly management of exceptions. IDM is compatible with all technological environments and all company sizes.

Areas of Application

The distinctive feature of IDM’s Semantic Data Analysis and Intelligent Matching functions is that they support non-uniform data matching processes in different business sectors and company areas, with excellent results and best practices that can be replicated in areas featuring large quantities of unstructured data.

  • Fast-Moving Consumer Products

In companies in the food and fast-moving consumer products sectors, we reconcile cumulative payment instructions from large-scale retail companies with the related bank transfers. The details are aligned with invoices and credit notes, making it possible to quickly identify conditions attributable to advances, allowances and discounts. The process is designed to support periodic workloads, for the purpose of automatic recording of the overall collection in the accounts.

  • Finance

For companies in the banking and non-banking financial services sectors, we optimise the reconciliation of collections from instalments of consumer loans, salary-backed loans, lease and factoring contracts.
Specific functions are dedicated to managing NPLs.
Support to asset management companies and investment houses focuses on the reconciliation of transactions in securities, bonds, deposits and forex, among front-end (e.g.: Bloomberg) and back-end systems (e.g.: Multifond).

  • Insurance

For insurance companies, we have automated the recording of notices of collection and account statements from brokers. At management level, the platform provides support to accounting for collections of direct and online  policies, with automatic integration in the administrative system. The processes are completed by an integrated environment for balancing and reconciliation of all the temporary accounts involved.

  • Utilities

Thanks to the acquisition of EveryMake technology, IDM has been enriched with an extensive list of best practices in EnergyGas and Water Services companies.
To assist these companies in recovering efficiency, we have developed a standard solution equipped with specific functions for Utilities, capable of automatically reconciling collections, quotes for connections, recovery plans, notifications of collection, etc.
Though the companies in this sector share a common business model, they have different characteristics, in terms of organisational structure, breakdown of customers, etc., and often have several different invoicing systems. It is here that IDM fully expresses its potential, acting as an agent of reconciliation, concentration and optimisation of collection processes, capable of managing all types of customer collections, including the new online collection methods.

  • e-Commerce

In the e-Commerce world, IDM reconciles front & back end data and online orders with the different methods of collection, providing valid support to reducing recording times, as part of order to cash processes.
In this scenario, the balancing of credit card reporting is particularly important, as a process involving numerous providers with proprietary standards.
